Domestic competition for intense competition for meridian tires

More than a dozen tire manufacturing companies have been planning to produce large radial tires at almost the same time. The use of domestic planned meridional giant tires is much larger than the annual output of all existing meridian giant tires in the world. However, so far no domestic tire enterprise has formed a large-scale production of noon tires. On March 21, when the reporter learned about these figures from the China Rubber Industry Association, it was also judged by experts in the industry that the domestic competition in the noon giant tire market will be intensified.

On November 20 last year, the first 36.00R51 all-steel giant radial tire developed and produced by Shandong Yinbao Tire Group was launched. Immediately after December 22nd, the No. 36.00R51 Meridian Tire of South China (Guilin) Rubber Co., Ltd. also successfully went offline. In addition, at present, the Meridian giant tire projects of Feng Juxing Tire Co., Ltd., Fujian Hai'an Rubber Co., Ltd., and Tengzhou Yema Tire Co., Ltd. have also entered the sprint phase, and several other companies have started or prepared. Launched the Meridian Project, with an annual output of 5,000 to 10,000. While China has become the fourth country in the world to produce meridian giant tires, it also indicates that large-tonguage childbearing tire production capacity may be quickly released.

It is understood that the Meridian giant tire is a high investment, high-tech content, high value-added "three high" products, the development of the difficulty and the difficulty of marketing later are great. For a long time, only a handful of multinational corporations such as Michelin and Bridgestone have been able to produce in the world, with annual production of 70,000-80,000 pieces. According to an analysis by a world-renowned Australian tire management consulting company, by the end of 2009, the global supply of giant tires increased by 41%, while the demand increase was 71%. Even with the full implementation of Michelin and Bridgestone's stimulation plans, there are still some market demands that cannot be met. This market gap will be filled by companies other than the Big Three. Chinese tire companies have been targeting this market gap and are competing to invest in large tires at noon.

“Chinese giant tires should have a place in the international market.” said Guo Hongzhen, president of the China Rubber Industry Association, in an interview. However, at the same time, he believes that the Meridian giant tire project has a large investment, long cycle, and strict technical requirements, and its narrow product application area is not suitable for universal production. Enterprises that do not have the necessary conditions should not be blindly launched; enterprises with the necessary conditions should also start from a small scale and gradually develop.
