Global biofuel production will double in the next 10 years

According to the most conservative estimate, the world’s biofuel production will more than double in the next 10 years, agriculture will face, according to a report by the FAO-based Director-General of the World Food and Agriculture Organization, Jacques Diouf, at a Paris delegation. Diouf said that global ethanol production is expected to reach approximately 125 billion liters in 2017, which is twice the world's ethanol production in the last year.
According to the report, the global production of biodiesel is expected to increase from 11 billion liters at the end of 2007 to 24 billion liters by 2017.
