House fire in West Chicago, 9-21-16

This just came in from John Tulipano. He sent over some photos from an incident in West Chicago earlier this week. It seems like a house was struck by lightning during the intense storms we had Wednesday morning. Here's what he shared: > "West Chicago Special Alarm 0N705 Morningside 9-21-16 – A few images from what appears to be a house that got hit by lightning during the recent storms." The images really capture the intensity of the situation. You can see firefighters working hard to control the fire and ventilate the roof. One shot shows a firefighter using a saw to cut through the roof, which is no easy task under those conditions. Another image captures them raising a ground ladder, showcasing their coordination and skill. There’s also a powerful photo of the aftermath where you can see firefighters in full gear going through the process of overhauling the damaged structure. It's always fascinating to see how they manage to work together so efficiently even in such challenging circumstances. In one of the later shots, you can spot the Carol Stream Fire Department’s Engine 29, standing tall and ready for action. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s an impressive shot of the Roselle Fire Department's E-ONE tower ladder, looking both imposing and prepared. It's moments like these that remind us of the dedication and bravery of our local first responders. John Tulipano did an excellent job capturing all the details. These photos really tell the story of a tough day but also highlight the teamwork and professionalism involved in handling emergencies like this one.
