Nine mandatory national standards for automobile safety will be introduced

According to the National Standards Commission, China will issue nine mandatory national standards for vehicle safety in the near future, including dynamic side collisions and the fuel-system leak prevention and fire resistance performance of passenger cars that are being "recovered from the tail." It was first written into mandatory national standards.

It is understood that China has been using 100% positive full-contact crash tests in these years. In fact, in road traffic accidents, casualties caused by side impacts account for about 20%. The relevant dynamic test methods and technical requirements for side impact will appear for the first time in the forthcoming mandatory national standards for vehicle safety. Experts in the industry believe that "the occupant protection in side impact of a car" mainly emphasizes the structural strength and internal safety of the car. It is reported that the nine standards that will be issued soon have already been submitted for approval. When they are issued, they need to be reviewed by the National Standards Committee.
