Xiamen will establish the chassis production capacity of passenger cars as soon as possible to ensure the continuous development of large and medium-sized passenger vehicles. Through cooperation with well-known international and domestic companies, we will develop products such as axles and gearboxes that extend from the chassis, as well as automotive air-conditioners and automotive electronic products. We will implement technological innovations to improve the bodywork manufacturing technology and production capabilities.
According to the plan, by 2010, Xiamen's large and medium-sized passenger cars will have an annual production capacity of 40,000 vehicles, of which high-grade products, low-floor urban passenger cars and export products will be the focus of development. Energy, environmental protection, safety and comfort indicators will reach the international advanced level. Level. The new bus chassis production capacity of 30,000 units to achieve more than 50% of the internal loading, with high-grade chassis assembly and testing capabilities. At the same time, Xiamen will build a large-scale, high-level production base. Xiamen Automobile Industry City, which covers an area of ​​1.8 square kilometers, implemented the construction of an annual production capacity of 13,000 vehicles for large and medium-sized passenger vehicles at the end of the “Tenth Five-year Plan†period, plus the production capacity of 12,000 units of the Shanghai sheet metal passenger car production base.
