Subject: Important Update Regarding Surplus Water Tender Sale
Hi everyone,
I just came across this announcement from the Lemont Fire Protection District’s Facebook page regarding the sale of a surplus water tender. I thought it might be of interest to some of you, especially those who are into firefighting vehicles or looking for unique equipment deals. Here's the full post for your reference:

**REQUEST FOR SEALED BID FOR PURCHASE OF SURPLUS WATER TENDER**
We’re inviting sealed bid proposals for the purchase of a surplus water tender. This vehicle, a 1998 International chassis, was originally bought new by the Lemont Fire Protection District. The stainless-steel water tank, which dates back to the previous 1986 water tender, was remounted onto the current chassis in 1998. Since then, it’s been in continuous service with the department and is now being replaced by a brand-new water tender.
This water tender is in fantastic condition despite its age. It currently has 29,950 miles on the odometer and 3,520 engine hours. Throughout its service life, it has been meticulously maintained by the district’s in-house mechanic. In fact, the fire pump was replaced in 2017. All Lemont Fire District graphics will be professionally removed before the sale, and any additional equipment will also be taken off prior to the transaction. Additionally, all service records will be handed over to the successful buyer.
Here are the key highlights:
- **Crew Capacity:** 2-person cab
- **Engine:** 1998 International 530E, 300 horsepower
