Safe gas transmission from the West-East Gas Pipeline to Huaiwu Pipeline: 1 Billion Cubic Meters

As of May 28, the West-East Gas Pipeline on the Huaiwu River has accumulated a total of 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas for safety in the two lakes.
In early 2007, the Huaiwu Pipeline connecting the West-East Gas Pipeline and Zhongwu Line was put into operation. The completion and commissioning of the pipeline not only achieved the goal of diversification of gas sources, gas transmission network, gas supply stabilization, and automation of management in central China, but also achieved the networking of the Sichuan-Yunnan Gas Region, the Changqing Gas Region, and the Tarim Gas Region. Improving the reliability of CNPC's gas supply security in the two lakes.
This year, the gas transmission capacity of the Huaiwu Pipeline continues to increase. From January to May, the daily average discharge volume increased sharply from 1.37 million cubic meters in 2007 to 3.32 million cubic meters. In mid-March, the steam valve operation of No. 1302 in Huangchuan Station was successfully implemented; in April, the renovation project of the sewage system in Huangchuan Station was completed; in May, the impact of the Sichuan earthquake on the two lakes region was safely and steadily overcome. The safety, stability, and efficiency of production operations have made West Gas a major source of gas for the two lakes.
It is reported that currently two-thirds of the natural gas in the two lakes is supplied by the West-East Gas Pipeline Huaiwu. This year, the pipeline will complete the task of distributing 1.194 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is equivalent to 80% of the designed capacity of the Huaiwu pipeline. In order to successfully complete the gas transmission task, the Yu-E-Management Office strengthened daily safety inspections and equipment maintenance, and through the development of grass-roots staff skills training and on-the-job training, continuously improved front-line staff operation and maintenance skills to better fulfill the West-East Gas natural gas benefit. The mission of Central China and the two lakes.
