Function Description:
The 3PC threaded full port stainless steel ball valve, model Q11F, is a type of quarter-turn valve that uses a hollow, perforated, and pivoting ball—commonly referred to as a "floating ball"—to control the flow of media through it. When the ball’s hole aligns with the flow, the valve is open; when it is rotated 90 degrees via the handle, the valve is closed. The handle remains parallel to the flow when open and perpendicular when closed, providing an easy visual indicator of the valve's status.
Known for their durability and reliability, these ball valves perform well after many cycles and maintain a secure seal even after long periods of inactivity. They are ideal for shutoff applications, often preferred over gate and globe valves due to their quick operation and tight sealing. However, they are not suitable for precise throttling applications.
