Mark your calendars for the 14th Annual Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show! It's happening this Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 10 am to 4 pm in Mooseheart, IL—affectionately known as "The Child City." You can find us right at the intersection of Route 31 and Mooseheart Road, just north of North Aurora.

This year’s show is going to be bigger and better than ever! We’ve got tons of awesome demonstrations lined up from local public safety agencies. And guess what? It’s completely free for everyone to attend. Registration for the vehicles starts bright and early at 8 am, while the main gates open to the public at 10 am sharp.
For those interested in showing off their vehicles, pre-registering is super easy and free via fax or mail ($20 if you register on the day). Just grab the form HERE and send it over. On Friday, August 5, 2011, we’ll be hosting the Lights and Sirens Parade and Emergency Vehicle Cruise Night. Things get started with parade staging at 6:30 pm at the Tinsetown Theater on Route 31 in North Aurora. The parade kicks off promptly at 7 pm and winds its way to Clocktower Plaza, Oak Street, and Randall Road in North Aurora. Afterward, we’ll stick around for some fun at the North Aurora Days festival, including the Emergency Vehicle Cruise Night.
And there’s more! On Sunday, August 7, 2011, we’ll join the Lights & Sirens Parade and National Night Out Against Crime Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show hosted by the Lake in the Hills Police Department. The caravan departs at 9 am from Clocktower Plaza in North Aurora, and the parade begins at 10 am. At the end of the parade route, all the vehicles will gather for their car, truck, and motorcycle show. This event has been fantastic for the past three years, and they’ve even adjusted their dates to accommodate us. All proceeds go towards funding their police Explorer program, and we’ll be collecting a small donation to support them.
