Dagang Petrochemical Company carried out the "three-mud" coking test. In four days, 240 tons of "three muds" were recycled. Each fresh coke cycle reduced fresh water consumption by approximately 50 tons and reduced steam consumption by 14 tons. Test data shows that all produced petroleum coke qualified.
The sludge deposited by the grease trap in the sewage treatment plant, the scum from the flotation tank, and the remaining activated sludge from the biological treatment tank are called “three mudsâ€. It is characterized by a large amount of production, intractable handling and serious pollution. Earlier, Dagang Petrochemical’s “three-mud†treatment required external commissioning, which cost a lot of processing fees each year. To completely solve this problem, Dagang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., through a multi-faceted investigation of its peers, determined that the coking unit was back refining the "three muds" program.
During the test, employees of the sewerage site performed the “three-mud†water cut operation to control the water content. The first joint workshop management and technical cadres performed the on-site command. The operator strictly executed the temporary operation card, measured the lifting pump flow rate and control time in real time, and prepared for fluctuations and water hammer adjustments at all times to ensure that the test was successful.
In the next stage, Dagang Petrochemical will complete equipment and facilities for “three muds†refining, further explore experience in refining, standardize operations, and improve processes. At the same time, the "Three Mud" transformation was implemented at the sewage field to control the moisture content of the sludge, so that the "three muds" of odor would be reduced, and the "three muds" would be recycled 100%.
