Geely's Borui GE is on the market. This would not have been any news, but there is a 48V light mixing system in the series. This is the first time this independent brand adopts this technology. There is a variety of science on the Internet about what is a 48V system, but I find that most articles are too professional and not easy to read. 48V system how to save fuel?

2. During the process of energy recovery braking, the kinetic energy of the vehicle is wasted. Most of the energy is converted into heat to make the brake pads hot. The energy recovery system converts this kinetic energy into electricity and stores it in the battery. The energy recovery system is the main energy saver and can reduce fuel consumption by about 7%.

3. The electric auxiliary engine is particularly fuel-efficient in the low gear stage, but the electric motor is highly efficient in the starting stage and is complementary to the engine. Therefore, driving the electric motor at the starting stage will save a lot of oil, which is particularly suitable for congested urban roads.

4. Extinguishing and gliding Some old drivers use this method to save fuel, but this is dangerous for conventional cars because the flameout will stop the vehicle's oil pump and cause the braking function to weaken. However, with the 48-volt system, stalling is not a problem. The 48-volt system has enough power to drive the electric motor and the on-board oil pump to maintain normal operation of the vehicle.

5. Electronic turbo The traditional turbocharger is driven by the exhaust gas emitted by the engine. At low speed, however, the exhaust gas is weak and cannot propel the turbo. However, there is no hysteresis problem in the electronic turbine. The efficiency of the engine at low speed is particularly suitable for urban conditions.

How much oil can 48V system save?

The 48V technology was developed by European auto companies in order to combat the Japanese hybrid technology. Due to the late development, 48V technology is far from universal. The actual application effect has yet to be verified. According to the 48V system supplier, the current 48V system can save 10%-25%. Representative are:

Overall, the fuel saving rate is 10% -25%, of course, these are theoretical values, practical application Will be discounted, I personally feel that the current 48V system fuel savings rate of 10% -15% more credible.

At present, the 15% saving rate is not very good. The fuel saving rate of Ralink and Corolla hybrids is up to 28%. The plug-in hybrid pure electric life is enough for the city's daily traffic. But don't forget that Toyota HEV is expensive, and the cost is about 12,000 yuan. Plug-in is more expensive and the cost is at least 30,000 yuan. The 48V system costs only about 5,000 yuan.

Obviously, if there is no new energy subsidy, the mix-and-mix models will not be mixed. However, unfortunately, by 2020, the new energy subsidy policy may be abolished, or at least a substantial reduction in the amount of subsidies. By that time, the hybrid model may be left with Toyota's THS, Honda's i-MMD, and Europe's 48V system.
