Energy-efficient sulfur recovery technology realizes industrialization

Shaanxi Suihua Group's newly completed sulfur recovery unit has recently started trial operation. The total investment of this device is over 50 million yuan, and the designed sulfur recovery capacity is 34 tons per day. After production, all sulphur-containing exhaust gases produced by the Suihua Group's 300,000 tons/year coal-synthetic ammonia plant and 600,000 tons/year methanol plant can be recovered. More than 10,000 tons of sulfur.

The entire plant consists of the Claus sulfur recovery unit of Dutch Hofung Company and the Ltscot low-temperature hydrogenation sulfur recovery unit of JACOBS in the Netherlands. According to Jia Baoxiang, the company's Director of Technology Development Department, through the effective docking of traditional technologies with new sulfur recovery technologies, not only sulfur recovery rates have been improved, but also the emission of harmful substances has been reduced, and the operational flexibility and safety level of the devices have also been greatly improved, achieving energy savings and cost savings. And increase efficiency.

The results of the trial run of the oximation device show that with the special catalyst of JACOBS company, the organic sulfur can be hydroconverted at a lower temperature and a gentler pressure, and the device can run smoothly in the load range of 20% to 110%. The amount of exhaust gas treated by the Ltscot plant is only 70 ppm, which is less than 1/5 of the latest national emission standards, and the total sulfur recovery rate is over 99.9%. Compared with the simple Claus sulphur recovery unit, there are more than 930 tons of sulphur dioxide annually.

According to Wang Zhenyue, technical service manager of JACOBS, the currently widely used sulfur recovery technologies include Claus sulfur recovery technology and Scot hydrogenation technology. The former requires that the content of hydrogen sulfide in the reaction medium must reach 25% to 32%, and about 5% of the sulfur in the exhaust gas cannot be recovered. Although the latter can handle low-concentration sulfur-containing medium, the catalyst has a short service life, high hydrogenation reaction temperature and pressure, and high energy consumption. In order to solve the above problems, in 2004, JACOBS began Ltscot technology laboratory development, in 2009 the industrialization of the test certificate, and then promoted in Europe and the United States and the Asia-Pacific region.

Ltscot technology can be well coupled with Claus technology, which better solves the problem of sulfur-containing medium treatment and energy saving and emission reduction in energy and chemical companies. It is favored by users when it is launched. At present, there are nearly 20 such devices in China, but only one Suihua Group has been built for trial operation.

Horizontal Machining Centers

Horizontal machining center refers to a machining center where the spindle is parallel to the worktable, usually equipped with an automatic indexing rotary worktable, which generally has 3-5 motion coordinates. The worktable of a horizontal machining center is designed to move only in the X or Y direction, and the worktable form is generally a rotating worktable with a lattice screw hole table, which is relatively easy to install an exchange type dual worktable. The common method is to add three linear motion coordinates and one rotary motion coordinate. After a single clamping, the workpiece completes the machining of the other four surfaces except for the installation surface and top surface. It is most suitable for adding box type parts.

Horizontal Machining Centers characteristics:
1.Horizontal machining center structural characteristics: A horizontal machining center refers to a complex structure with the spindle parallel to the workbench, occupying a large area, and being relatively expensive. Due to the fact that the spindle is parallel to the worktable, the rotation axis of the spindle is parallel to the worktable, which allows for a wider range of machining operations. Horizontal machining centers are usually suitable for processing large workpieces and parts that require multi sided machining.
2. Horizontal machining center application characteristics: Due to its complex structure, large footprint, and high price, horizontal machining centers are usually suitable for processing large parts and multi sided machining parts. Due to the parallel spindle of the horizontal machining center to the worktable, it can achieve simultaneous machining of multiple surfaces and improve production efficiency. Horizontal machining centers are also suitable for large parts that require rough and precision machining, such as machine tool beds, automotive components, etc.
3. Horizontal machining center processing characteristics: Due to its complex structure, large footprint, and high cost, horizontal machining centers are usually suitable for processing large parts and multi sided machining parts. Due to the parallel spindle of the horizontal machining center to the worktable, it can achieve simultaneous machining of multiple surfaces and improve production efficiency.
