**How to Select the Right Eye Bolt?**
- Use plain or shoulderless eye bolts only for vertical loading.
- Avoid angle loading on shoulderless eye bolts as it may cause bending or breaking.
- Use shoulder eye bolts for both vertical and angle loading.
**How to Use Stainless Steel Eye Bolts Safely?**
- Align the eye bolt with the slings to prevent sideways bending.
- Place washers between the shoulder and the load surface for better contact.
- Ensure the nut is properly tightened.
- When using shims or washers, engage at least 90% of the threads in the hole.
- Attach only one sling leg to each eye bolt.
- Inspect and clean the eye bolt threads and the hole before installation.
- Screw the eye bolt all the way down and seat it properly.
- For screw eye bolts, ensure the tapped hole has a minimum depth of 1.5 times the bolt diameter.
- Install the shoulder perpendicular to the hole axis and ensure full contact with the object being lifted.
