·The first intelligent networked vehicle pilot demonstration area in China settled in Shanghai

The dream of driverlessness is getting closer and closer to people. China's first "National Intelligent Networking (Shanghai) Pilot Demonstration Zone" closed test area was officially opened in Jiading, Shanghai on the 7th. It can now provide test verification for nearly 30 scenarios for driverless, autonomous driving and V2X networked vehicles. Shanghai has thus become China's first intelligent network and unmanned pilot city.
It is reported that in June 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) Co., Ltd. to undertake the construction of China's first intelligent networked vehicle pilot demonstration zone. On the same day, the opening of the closed park marked the world's largest test function scene, the most abundant V2X communication technologies such as DSRC and LTE-V, covering the international leading closed test area in the four categories of safety, efficiency, information services and new energy vehicle applications (Phase I ) officially put into operation.
The open test site built a GPS differential base station, two LTE-V communication base stations, 16 DSRC and four LTE-V roadside units, six intelligent traffic lights and 40 various cameras. The entire park road realized the centimeter-level positioning of the Beidou system and the full coverage of WIFI, and built simulated traffic scenes such as tunnels, avenues, T-junctions and circular roundabouts. At the scene, 25 unmanned, autonomous driving and networked vehicles developed by vehicle companies, universities and national technology transfer eastern centers and Chinese Academy of Sciences took the lead in testing the perception, intelligent decision-making, collaborative control and execution in complex environments. Features. Driverless cars demonstrate lane keeping, automatic lane change, automatic head turning, and more.
According to reports, Shanghai Jiading will become a national “incubator” for smart cars and unmanned vehicles in China. Ma Chunlei, secretary of the Jiading District Party Committee, said that Jiading will focus on the development of intelligent networked cars in the future. Rong Wenwei, chairman and general manager of Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) Co., Ltd. told reporters that with the development of technology, the era of automotive intelligent network is coming. From the perspective of the construction of the traffic environment, the government has established a good environment for the development and rapid application of smart cars, in line with the general trend of the development of the world's automotive industry.
It is understood that at present, China's intelligent network automobile industry has taken shape: local enterprises actively cooperate with universities to carry out automatic driving demonstrations; Internet companies have entered the automotive industry in a big way; at the same time, the National Defense Science and Technology Research Institute has also actively carried out research. However, these distances still have a long way to go in the true sense of autonomous driving. Imperfect sensor components, accidental attention, and high reliability requirements will all be factors that need to be broken. In the industry's view, it is necessary to set up an intelligent networked vehicle demonstration zone to carry out key technical test verification to promote industrial standardization.
On the same day, the "Second International Symposium on Intelligent Network Technology and Standards and Regulations" was held, the China Automotive Technology Center "Intelligent Network Linked Vehicle Standard Specification Testing and Research Base" and the China Automotive Engineering Society "Intelligent Networked Automotive Industry Technology Innovation Strategy" The Alliance Standards Research Center was unveiled at Shanghai International Automobile City; in the future, the national top science and technology event - China International Intelligent Vehicles Competition will be settled in Shanghai International Automobile City.
It is understood that Shanghai International Automobile City plans to build a comprehensive urban demonstration area of intelligent networked vehicles covering 100 square kilometers of the entire automobile city by 2020, and explore the “corridor” of connecting and Hongqiao hubs. This means that China's intelligent networking and driverless vehicles have officially entered the practical stage. The unveiled “Intelligent Networking Standard Specification Testing and Research Base” will become the carrier of China's intelligent network standard and promote related products. The technical standards are maturing. The demonstration area is currently undertaking 18 major national special projects and Shanghai-level key projects.
It is also known that as early as January 15 this year, the “National Intelligent Networking Automotive (Shanghai) Pilot Demonstration Zone” set out to build the “Intelligent Networked Automotive Industry Technology Joint Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as “UIC”)” to gather cars. Resources such as electronics, telecommunications and transportation will further play the role of pioneering, cross-border integration and win-win cooperation. The first 60 wholesale members include scientific research institutions, component companies, IT and software industry companies, communication operators and transportation demonstration companies. Future Lianchuang Center will undertake many functions such as open test certification, industrial incubation accelerator, public experiment detection and big data collection application analysis in the demonstration area. In the future, Lianchuang Center will also build public laboratories, formulate standards and norms, and carry out international exchanges and cooperation to help the rapid development of intelligent networked vehicles.
In Shanghai, smart cars and driverless drivers will complete the “four-step” plan: from closed test to open road test, through typical urban comprehensive demonstration zone trials, and finally to build demonstration cities and traffic corridors in 2020. At that time, Shanghai will take the Anting to Hongqiao hub as the center, and the demonstration roads of 10,000 vehicles will increase to about 500 kilometers, eventually forming a cluster of intelligent networked automobile industry clusters.
