Europe released the first ultra-low power wireless communication system specifications

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has released the first ultra low power digital radio communications system (DECTULE) specification (TS102939-1), a standard for home automation and other machine-to-machine (M2M) applications Low-power wireless technology specifications. DECTULE is based on the very popular and highly successful digital enhanced wireless communications (DECT) standard developed by ETSI. Its main features are ultra-low power consumption, good service quality and a wider range of applications relative to other technologies. According to reports, ULE (ultra-low power) places DECT in the rapidly growing M2M communications market, including energy and utilities (such as home automation and smart metering), assisted living and remote care (such as the use of monitoring equipment) and security Phone voice input and smoke sensor). The DECTULE specification is a multi-disciplinary specification. The first phase of this specification is focused on home automation networks and its application is expanded to industrial automation as the specification is rolled out. In the meantime, the basic standard for DECT (EN300 series) has also been updated to include the new protocol elements and procedures necessary for DECTULE. According to the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, this revised version of the specification is expected to be released in early 2014.
