The newspaper Jinan News Heavy Gas Group will further enter the passenger car market news confirmed by the main person in charge of the group. The reporter recently learned from CNHTC that the group will start mass production of passenger cars in the next step, with the near-term goal of producing around 2,000 passenger cars annually.
China National Heavy Duty Truck Group is China's largest heavy truck manufacturer. In 2009, the Group produced and sold more than 125,000 heavy trucks, an increase of 11.59% year-on-year. Compared with the vigorous development in the heavy-duty truck industry, although the passenger car industry has long been involved, but the production and sales volume of passenger cars of the heavy-duty truck group has not been large. The current products are mainly buses and tourist buses.
Currently, there is a passenger car company under the CNHTC Group, which officially started operation in July 1999. At the end of 2008, CNHTC established a bus division within the listed company. In October 2009, the cooperation between China National Heavy Duty Truck Group and Germany's Man Company was officially concluded. The two parties did not rule out the possibility of cooperation on the passenger car project.

Heavy truck companies produce passenger cars and can achieve the best combination of technical resources and product resources.†Heavy Truck Group Ma Chunji, chairman and party secretary, said, “We will further strengthen the forging of the industrial chain and make the bus industry and the heavy truck industry equally as well as make our cake bigger and stronger.â€
According to reports, CNHTC will soon achieve mass production of passenger cars. The annual production volume will reach 2,000 units in the near future and tens of thousands in the medium term. The long-term goal is to become one of the strongest passenger bus companies in China, and then join the world.
At present, the competition in the domestic passenger car industry is also very fierce. The annual sales of major bus manufacturers in the industry are around 30,000. Faced with this situation, the person in charge of CNHTC believes that the world’s heavy truck companies are generally bus manufacturers, and CNHTC has good technical support and other conditions, plus the current domestic passenger car market still has relatively large demand potential.
