Method to measure the axial clearance of gear pump

1, select the appropriate specifications of the wrenches (preferred) or open-end wrench; use 0 ~ 25mm diameter micrometer;
2, the appropriate choice of soft lead wire diameter (0.5 <d <1.3mm) 2, each length of about gear pitch circumference;
3, pressure lead wire operation

1) assemble the main and driven gears;
2) The three sections of soft lead wire are pasted on the pitch circle of the main and driven gears respectively with grease;
3) Install the pump cover (including gaskets and bushings), symmetrically tighten the nut 2 ~ 3 times;
4) Unscrew the cap nut symmetrically and evenly, remove the pump cap, remove the soft lead wire and clean it.
5) Select 4 measuring points on each lead wire, measure the thickness of the soft lead wire with an outside diameter micrometer and record the measurement;
4, measurement data analysis
1) Calculate the average of 8 measured values, namely axial clearance;
2) Based on the measured axial clearance values and the normal range (usually 0.06 ~ 0.10mm, low pressure gear pump allows to 0.10 ~ 0.25mm) compared to the conclusion can be continued or need to be repaired.
