The exhaust gas temperature after gas compression is an important parameter for safe and reliable operation of the compressor. The model of the methyl ethyl ketone unit hydrogen compressor is DW-10.5/30, which is a symmetric balanced piston three-stage compressor with a rated outlet pressure of 3.0 MPa. This compressor has excessive exhaust gas temperature during the initial use of the unit. Phenomenon, the device can not run smoothly for a long time. According to the actual operating conditions, the cause of hydrogen temperature rise was analyzed, and the modification was carried out accordingly, and satisfactory results were obtained. Pre-retrofit operation The gas phase sec-butanol is catalytically reacted to obtain methyl ethyl ketone, hydrogen and the remaining sec-butanol in the gas phase, and the mixture enters the cooling separation system. The sec-butanol and methyl ethyl ketone are cooled, liquefied, separated and purified to obtain methyl ethyl ketone product, and the remaining hydrogen is introduced into the compressor to be pressurized to 2.5 MPa and then removed to the hydrogen purification system. According to the design capability of the device, the daily hydrogen treatment capacity is 2.0t. After each stage of compression, the hydrogen gas is cooled by heat exchange and then enters the next stage of compression.

The hydrogen compressor design has a gauge pressure of 115e at the tertiary outlet. The three outlet temperatures in the initial operation are 118e, 120e, and 125e, respectively, which are higher than the allowable upper temperature limit of the equipment. Due to the excessive temperature rise of the compressed hydrogen gas, the outlet temperature is too high, so that the compressor cannot run smoothly, which affects the stability of the entire device. Reason analysis The temperature rise of the gas in the compressor can be considered as adiabatic process. The heating process follows the thermodynamic law. In the analysis, the hydrogen is calculated according to the ideal gas compression. Compressor primary compression cylinder inlet hydrogen absolute pressure is 0.20MPa, outlet absolute pressure is inlet temperature is 5e. According to the adiabatic compression final temperature formula T(k-1)/k, the theoretical outlet temperature is 85.3e for the cylinder internal gas calculation. Similarly, the compression outlet temperature is reduced at all levels.
