In July, the Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission announced the key construction projects of four automotive categories this year, namely:
The capacity expansion project of Guangzhou Automobile Passenger Vehicle Factory will increase the annual production capacity of Guangzhou Automobile Passenger Vehicle from 100,000 to 200,000, with a total investment of 1.91 billion yuan;
Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company Huadu Factory passenger car capacity expansion project (including electric vehicle project). The project will increase passenger vehicle production capacity by 200,000 units, increase two series of new models, and adjust the production capacity of the original models. The total investment of the project is 3.63 billion yuan;
Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. Zengcheng Plant's capacity expansion project, with an additional capacity of 240,000 units, with a total investment of 3.14 billion yuan;
A new energy vehicle project, including the construction project of Guangzhou New Energy Bus Industry Base, has a total investment of 6 billion yuan.
The investment in the above four projects totaled 14.68 billion yuan. It is reported that according to the relevant planning of the Guangzhou Development and Reform Commission, Guangzhou's major automobile project this year will complete an investment of 5.56 billion yuan.
