This is a model that has allowed SAIC Iveco Hongyan employees to look forward to the industry for too long.

As a member of the “Three Big Companies” of the domestic Steyr series, Chongqing Hongyan Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chongqing Hongyan) has certain technology accumulation and user resources in the heavy truck field. In 2004, the funding problems caused by the Deron crisis made this 40-year-old company slow down. Although Chongqing Heavy-duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (Chongqing Hongyan Parent Company) soon signed a cooperation framework agreement with Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd. and officially launched a joint venture and cooperation project, SAIC Iveco Hongyan was also established on June 15, 2007. , but people have never seen this company's new products.

Statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers show that in 2007, sales of heavy-duty trucks (including non-complete vehicles, the same below) were 310,000, and sales of semi-trailer tractors were 178,000, an increase of 44% and 92% respectively year-on-year. In the first three quarters of this year, the sales volume of heavy trucks in China was 300,000, an increase of 26% year-on-year; the sales volume of semitrailer tractors was 176,600, an increase of 29% year-on-year.

In a rapidly growing market, delays in the launch of new products are fatal to any business. From January to October this year, SAIC Iveco Hongyan sold 21,000 vehicles, which was only 21% and 30% of sales for the “old rival” Sinotruk and Shaanxi Automobile Group during the same period.

At the Special Olympics listing ceremony, Yang Shuyi, General Manager of SAIC Iveco Hongyan, did not evade this point. He also said: “We know where the problem lies, and we have confidence and solutions to solve the problem.”

More than a year ago, at the opening ceremony of SAIC Iveco Hongyan, Yang Shuyi disclosed plans for three major product platforms.

The first platform: the introduction and production of internationally advanced and competitive Iveco brand high-end cars to meet the needs of the high-end market;

Second platform: On the basis of introducing and digesting Iveco technology, we will develop “Hongyan” heavy-duty vehicles that are suitable for the needs of the Chinese market and have technical and cost advantages;

The third platform: On the existing platform, combined with the advanced technology of Iveco, we will upgrade our own “Red Rock” products and meet the national III and above standards.

On April 20 this year, SAIC Iveco Hongyan landed at the Beijing International Auto Show with its Iveco brand STRALIS, Red Rock brand Power Tech, and Tampa/T Ba series of new cars. It can be seen as a concentrated debut of the three major product platforms, but it was exhibited at the time. It's just a prototype.

The listing of the special hegemony heavy truck is SAIC Iveco Hongyan's first product, is also the company's first product to build heavy truck three product platforms. This series of products is targeted at the low-to-medium-end heavy truck market and can meet engineering, transportation, special and special needs.

It is understood that the special tyrant's prototype car is a well-performing Hongyan Kang. SAIC Iveco Hongyan integrated Chinese and foreign technologies and optimized hundreds of details on the prototype vehicle. Among them, 28 were greatly improved, while retaining the advantages of heavy-duty, reliable and safe.

At the listing ceremony, SAIC Iveco Hongyan did not disclose the specific price of the product. Xia Hongbin, deputy general manager of the company, told reporters that next year, the country’s 4 trillion yuan investment will have a significant effect on the heavy truck market. As the main model of SAIC Iveco Hongyan's “impulse”, the price of the special tyrant is basically the same as that of a prototype vehicle.

For the young SAIC Iveco Hongyan, special tyrants listing is only a beginning. The Sales Division has just been established and the new production base is still under construction. The "908" heavy truck on the higher platform will be on the market soon. There are still many tasks to be done.

On the second day of the special pavilion listing ceremony, the reporter went to SAIC Iveco Hongyan’s new production base at Huangmaoping Automobile Industrial Park in Chongqing Jiangbei Economic Development Zone. As he approached the gate to the new base, the driver suddenly discovered that the mud roads that had been pitted had been paved in the past few days. "This is really the same kind of day," he said with emotion.

"It will take a long time before a new car will go offline." Facing the new base under construction, Jiang Jianhua, manager of the Public Relations Department of the company's general management department, said.

For the market performance of products, the role of channel layout and business policies is more direct. Xia Hongbin told reporters that the Sales Department has set up a large customer group and is responsible for the development and maintenance of major customers. At the same time, they will mobilize the enthusiasm of small and medium distributors through the adjustment of business policies.

Xia Hongbin said: "From the beginning of the negotiations on joint ventures and cooperation, we knew we must take a difficult road, but we understand what we are doing. Today's new car listing is just a beginning. We will have more moves next year."
