The United States will be the world's largest ethanol producer

According to the Global Renewable Fuel Alliance (GRFA), this year the United States will be the world’s largest ethanol producer, with production exceeding 12 billion gallons. Brazil is second.
The first commercial cellulose ethanol this year is expected to be produced in at least three countries.
The U.S. Energy Independence and Security Act stipulates that the blended use of biofuels this year will reach 12 billion gallons, most of which will be met by ethanol.
