Recently, the first phase of the LED sapphire crystal rod manufacturing project in Baotou Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park was put into operation. The project was invested by Nanjing Gaojing Transmission Equipment Manufacturing Group Co., Ltd. and Inner Mongolia Jingjing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. to fill the gap in the autonomous region.
In April last year, the project started in the new planning area of ​​Baotou Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, covering an area of ​​500 mu. On December 26 last year, 40 new crystal furnaces were installed, starting from 2 inches to the largest 6-inch sapphire crystal rods.
After the completion of the first and second phases of the project, it will have an annual production capacity of 9.6 million mm high-brightness LED sapphire crystal rods. Hu Weiming, chairman of the board of directors of Nanjing High-Precision Transmission Equipment Manufacturing Group, said: The LED sapphire project has relatively high requirements on electricity. In the entire production process, if the power failure is 17 seconds, it will cause several million yuan losses. After several inspections in the previous period, we finally settled the project in Baotou City. Our goal is to build 280 crystal growth furnaces in Baotou City, to maintain China's production and quality first, and strive to be the world's number one. The crystals we produce are mainly used for LED lamps, and the finished products can also be used in optical instruments. Because of the high hardness of the crystals, they are being used in mobile phone screens.
