PC Maritime's Navmaster ECDIS has been ordered for BOURBON's new generation of IMR (Inspection, Maintenance & Repair) vessels being built at Chinese shipyards. PC Maritime has supplied four Navmaster ECDIS, which will be installed this year and another five Bourbon Evolution 800 ships in 2014.
It is reported that BOURBON operates a fleet of 458 ships. The first Bourbon Evolution 802 with Navmaster ECDIS is operating on the Nigerian coast and is very satisfied with the operation of the system. The Bourbon Evolution 800 is currently undergoing sea trials and is expected to operate in Malaysia.
Arnaud Rampal, project manager for the Bourbon Evolution 800, said, "I like the simplicity of Navmaster ECDIS and we get good support from PC Maritime."
