Here's a report from Chi-Town Fire Photos:
Last night, Cicero was hit with multiple calls for a structure fire located at 35th Street and 55th Court. Engine 3, stationed just two blocks away, arrived to find heavy flames coming from the rear of a 2.5-story wood-frame home that also included a garage and a coach house. Chief F12 immediately secured the scene upon arrival. Engine 3 quickly deployed three lines, while Engine 1 used a 2.5-inch line in the alley to knock down the main fire. Stickney and Lyons engines laid 2.5-inch lines into the side alleys to protect adjacent buildings. In total, six lines were working along with Truck 1’s aerial master stream. The affected addresses were 3501, 3503, and 3505 S 55th Court. Crews managed to contain what was already an advanced fire, preventing it from spreading further.
Firefighters worked swiftly under difficult conditions, showing strong coordination and skill. This was a tough call, but the response was commendable. If you want to see more images from the scene, you can check out the link below.
