Inorganic fluoride exports show new trends: from small profits but quick turnover to decrement and appreciation

In recent years, the export of inorganic fluorides in China has begun to develop in the direction of refinement and high added value from large quantities and low values. The high value-added varieties exported include fluorine-containing gases, sodium monofluorophosphate, lithium fluoride, and fluorinated products. Nickel, frosted powder, etc., this development trend has attracted the attention and attention of the same industry at home and abroad.
Decline in exports Decline in exports The products classified in the Customs Code as other fluorides (heading 28261900) cover most of the inorganic fluoride species, so their export status to a certain extent represents the export of inorganic fluoride products in China. development trend.
According to customs statistics, in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and January-August 2005, China’s exports of other fluorides were 4,855 tons, 5,583 tones, 8,660 tons, 9,381 tons, 5,865 tons, and 3,420 tons, respectively. The amount was 6.52 million U.S. dollars, 6.96 million U.S. dollars, 9.79 million U.S. dollars, 11.11 million U.S. dollars, 13.96 million U.S. dollars, and 10.45 million U.S. dollars respectively, and the average value of goods per tonne was 1342.8 U.S. dollars, 1246.9 U.S. dollars, 1130.0 U.S. dollars, and 1184 dollars respectively. .3 US dollars, 2380.0 US dollars, 3054.5 US dollars. It can be seen that China’s total exports of other fluorinated chemicals have been growing from 2000 to 2003, but after the sharp drop in 2004, the first 8 months of 2005 are not high, that is, China’s exports of inorganic fluoride products after 2003. The volume has shown a downward trend. However, it is worth noting that although total exports have fallen, the total amount of exports has increased significantly. In 2004, the average value of every tonne of exported fluoride products increased by 1,097.57 U.S. dollars over 2003, more than doubled. The average value of tons of products in the first eight months of 2005 was even higher, reaching US$3054.5.
What are the reasons for the increase in exports of high value-added products, which has driven the rapid growth of the average value of other fluoride exports in China? Comparing the first quarter of 2003 with the first quarter of 2004, the number of exports did not change much, they were more than 2,100 tons, but the export amount increased from less than 2.7 million US dollars to nearly 3.6 million US dollars. This is due to the obvious difference in the price structure of export products, that is, the export volume of products whose average value per ton is under US$500 has dropped drastically, while all other price regions except US$3,000-4,000 have shown a clear upward trend. In particular, products with an average value of over 4,000 US dollars have a significant increase in the number of exports and their percentage in the total quantity. For example, for inorganic fluoride exports with a ton price of 4,000 to 5,000 U.S. dollars, the export volume in the first quarter of 2004 exceeded 44 tons and the export value was 190,000 U.S. dollars, which was more than 7 tons of export volume and more than 6 times the export value of 30,000 dollars in the same period of 2003. . Therefore, the rapid increase in the export volume of products with a high average value of tons is due to the continuous increase in the export volume of products with a high average value of tons per ton, and the newly increased exports of varieties with a high average value of tons.
Enterprises aim at exports of high value-added products Before 2002, only Hebei Xiongwei Chemical Co., Ltd. exported a small amount of fluoride products with high average value. In 2003, CNNC Honghua Special Gas Co., Ltd. was among the top 10 exporters of other fluorinated products. The high value-added products exported were fluorine-containing gases. In 2004, the export volume of sodium monofluorophosphate from Tianjin Yaguang High-tech Development Co., Ltd. reached over 300 tons from dozens of tons in 2003. In the first eight months of this year, the export volume continued to grow rapidly, reaching more than 500 tons. The value of fluoride products exported from Zhejiang Huangyan Fine Chemicals Group Co., Ltd. is also very high, and the average value of tons per annum is more than 5,000 US dollars. The export price of sand powder from Zhengzhou Hengsheng Glass Technology Co., Ltd. is close to that of sodium monofluorophosphate, and the export volume has also gradually developed into a scale.
In the first quarter of 2003, the number of enterprises that exported more than 4,000 tons of other fluorides in China was only 9 (exports exceeded 1 ton), compared with 15 in the first quarter of 2004, indicating that more and more The company has joined the ranks of export products with high average tons of goods.
